I finally finished the matryoshka dolls a couple of weeks ago. The pink and yellow doll came out very nicely. I only used acrylic and varnish for them so they came out nice and smooth and shiny.

The blue one, in contrast, has a slightly bumpy uneven texture. I painted the blue doll first, and I used acrylic and gesso for the color, a spray varnish and when the spray didn’t work, I painted on a varnish. It thus didn’t quite turnout like the pink and yellow dolls. Still, it looks pretty good.
